June Haul

Seeing as I'm going to be shopping up a storm in the US I've kept my shopping to a bare minimum. Here are the products I have picked up this week.

First up are some freebies that got delivered in the past few days.

- Trilogy moisturiser: Trilogy had a promotion in the past two weeks where you could like their page and select a free full-size product to promote their Unretouched campaign. I selected their Vital Moisturising Cream which I saw at Priceline for $40! Win!

- Natralus Samples: Natralus is an Australian brand I haven't used before so jumped at the chance to try some of their products. On their website you can fill in your details and they will send you a sample of their Aloe Vera Gel, Paw Paw Pure Gel and Paw Paw Ointment.

I needed to buy some things for my trip so stopped in to Priceline today and here is what I picked up.

- Garnier Fructis Nutri-Repair 3 Shampoo & Conditioner: all Garnier shampoo and conditioner was on sale so a grabbed these to go in my luggage as my current products are huge bottles.

- Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunscreen Lotion 50+ : I have used the 30+ version of this and loved it so bought the 50+ as it was the same price. I know 50+ doesn't actually end up last a heap longer than the 30+ but I do need to protect my fair skin!

Priceline Haul

When I found out that Priceline was having 40% off all cosmetics on 23 & 24 April I was pretty amazed. You never get that big a discount these days and for it to be on all cosmetics, well this made me very excited! I realised a few days ago that I have reached my Project Pan goal tally so new I could purchase some items that I had been after for a while. The temptation was there to go buying crazy but I think I restrained myself quite well!

All up I bought five items but I didn't include one nail polish in the pic as I bought it for my mum.
- Maybelline BB Cream in Fair: I have been testing this every time I see it so I decided I need to just buy it and see how it really worked for me.
- Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze: I finally bought one! I've read so many great reviews on these.
- Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Pennies for Heaven: this was less than $10 so a great bargain. I have two other shades of this collection and they have great durability and the colours are gorgeous
- Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen: I've been wanting to try some different nail art so this should come in handy.

All up I spent $37 for the above four products and an extra nail polish. If you need to get any cosmetics go and buy before the sale ends as you don't often get such a great bargain!

America Wishlist #1

As you know I'm heading off the America later this year and I could be more excited! I have been looking at lots of websites and saving so many products that I like the look of! I've decided to break it down so that I only post 5 things per post, otherwise it would be neverending. I might do a post once a week or once a fortnight depending on how many extra items I fall in love with!

First up is Philosophy's Cinnamon Buns. The name just makes me want to have it now! This is a shampoo, conditioner and body wash but I can see myself mainly using as a body wash. It retails for $16.50 at Sephora. Bargain!

Another item from Philosophy! I've really started liking this brand recently and am super keen to get this set. I LOVE  cake so much and this sounds like the perfect set for me (when I get back from my trip it will be my birthday so I have to get it). This includes a body wash and lip gloss and is $20 from Sephora. I will most likely buy it for my sister aswell.

I'm currenty using a deluxe sample of the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Gel and I love it. It retails in Australia for $75 but in America it is $25 for the full size. I can't believe how much cheaper it is! I'm consider buying two if I can afford it as it is such a great product.

One thing I have noticed is that in America they have such good packs so that you can try out the products for a lot cheaper. This one is by Too Faced and includes 5 different products. It is $19 from Sephora.

Lucky last for now is the Clinique Chubby Stick in Plushest Punch. I love the Revlon version of these and at $16 the Clinique is cheaper in America! I have heard so many good things about this range and can't wait to get my hands on one!

Ok it's time for me to step away from the computer otherwise I will just go on and on! Have you tried any of these products? Any others I should keep my eye out for? I'll have my next wishlist up soon!

June Empties

As I am going away on Monday I have decided to do my empties post a little early. This month I really tried to use up some samples that have been sitting around in my room for ages.

- Playboy Play It Rock Parfum Deodorant
This was part of one of Priceline's Beauty Bags from last year. I felt like a teenager all over again using a product like this but it actually smelled quite nice. I used this when I was going to work at the pool so didn't want to wear an actual perfume. I probably wouldn't buy it for myself.

- Mitchum Advanced Control 48 Hour Strength & Protection
This was a freebie from the Mitchum facebook page. Honestly I did not like this as half-way through the day I could feel myself sweating which I never get when wearing my normal deodorant. I didn't find this effective. I wouldn't buy this.

- Biore Pore Unclogging Scrub
Another freebie through facebook and yet another product I didn't enjoy. I didn't see any difference when using this as my face scrub so not a product I would buy.

- The Body Shop Vanilla Bliss Hand Cream
Yay a product I actually liked! I was lucky enough to get this from my KK from BeautyHeaven for Christmas last year. This is a thick hand cream with a lovely scent that I enjoyed using every night. I would purchase this.

- Priceline Nourishing Wipes
This was another product from a beauty bag and it was quite a basic product. There was nothing really to set it apart from all the other face wipes out there. It did an alright job but I wouldn't buy it as the lid doesn't stick down very well.

- Bioderma Crealine H2O
I think I'm the only person who doesn't love this product. It did an average job at removing my make-up, definitely nothing special. I felt like you needed to also use a fair amount of product on a cotton pad and for the price for a bottle it's not something I plan on buying to use.

- MOR Body Butter Samples : Lychee Flower, Italian Blood Orange, Belladonna, Marshmallow & Snow Gardenia
I was lucky enough to get these cute samples from BeautyHeaven's first Beautorium. My Favourite is Lychee Flower and I now own the full size pump bottle of this. Mor's body butters are super moisturising and smell divine. I will definitely buy these in the future.

How many products did you get through this month?

Face Masks

In the past few months I have become a lot more diligent with using face masks, on my fancy named Mask Mondays. Every Monday night before bed I use a face mask and I have found this to be a great help for my skin. Below are the current masks that I use.

In Essence Botanically Active Purifying Mask
I've been using this mask most Mondays as I love how gentle yet effective it is on my skin. It has a light rose scent which is a nice scent to smell for the 10 minutes you need to leave it on for. Unlike clay masks, this one does not dry and crack on your skin so you don't get a tightening sensation. This mask has reduced the occurrence of breakouts and speeds up the healing process of pimples that I already have.

Montagne Jeunesse Passion Peel Off Masque
This is the only other mask that I currently own, and although it is slightly strange to use I quite like it. Firstly I much prefer the new tube packaging that Montagne Jeunesse has as I hated their multi-use sachets that would become super messy. Secondly feeling like you are peeling off a layer of snake skin is strange but quite fun! After 10 minutes this gel becomes dry and needs to be peeled off which takes some of the gunk with it. I use this mask when my skin feels a bit bumpy and it makes it nice and smooth again. It is the perfect mask to use before applying makeup as it creates the perfect base.

So as you can see I only own two masks currently! What are you favourite masks and are there any you think I should try out?

America Wishlist #3

With only two weeks until we fly to the United States of America I have one more wishlist one my mind. The amount of products that they have compared to here in Australia is huge and the prices are so much cheaper! This wishlist is a very pink one! I love my pinks and I have found so many gorgeous cosmetics that have my heart lusting after.

MAC Impassioned Lipstick: I saw this colour online a few months ago, but it was when I saw it on a friend that I fell in love with it. It is such a pretty pink, one that definitely screams "love!"

Too Faced Sweet Heart Beads: At $32 these are exactly cheap but they are so so pretty! I love the look of the 'beads' and the container is way too cute.

Benefit Gettin'Cheeky: this is a collection of Benefit's famous tints including Posie Tint, Sun Beam and Cha Cha Tint. They aren't full size but at $17 for the three they are a great introduction into some of Benefit's most popular products.

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar in Femme: I've read a lot of good things about this lip product so I think I'm going to have to buy one. The colour Femme looks like a very pretty pink but I will be doing some swatches in store to pick a favourite. These retail for $18.

Nars Blush in Orgasm: Last but not least on my wishlist is this cult favourite. I have read more than enough reviews to know that this is a blush that I want to get my hands on. I don't own any Nars products yet but I would love to start my collection with this beauty.

What have you been lusting after lately? Anything on your must-have wishlist?

My week in pictures!

I've seen a few different blogs do a similar thing so decided I would join in as I love taking snaps here and there of what I'm doing during the week. I post a lot of my pictures on Instagram (ID: Thepinkshoe) . Follow me if you like and I'll be sure to follow back :)

Last Saturday two of the kids I coach entered and swimming competition and left with seven medals! I was more than proud :)

I took my dog Ralph to his favourite park early on in the week. There is plenty of grass to run around on, other dogs to play with and drink bottles to find! He loves finding drink bottles and always wants me to throw them for him.

With the colder weather I've been spending my nights in front of the fire and Ralph has been lucky enough to join! Every five minutes he has to move as he gets too hot.

My Laduree x Uniqlo t-shirt arrived from eBay and I couldn't love it any more!

I had to include another pic of Ralph as it took me quite a while to get him into his jacket! (You can tell I love my dog!)

The oranges on our tree are ready to be picked! They are so fresh and better than any at the shops! Now I need to think of some great recipes.

To finish off my week I treated my bf to dinner at Mamasita in the city. It's such a great Mexican place and I always leave wanting more but I can never fit any more food in! Today I tried sweet corn and caramel ice cream and I loved it! However the bf didn't want to try one bit of it!

What did you get up to this week?

NOTD Glitter Tips

Hi everyone, today I decided to get a little more artsy with my nails and use the glitter polish that I have been hoarding away. I love glitter nail polish but sometimes I feel a whole glitter nail can be a bit much, plus it takes ages to remove the traditional way. For this reason I decided to just add glitter to the tips of my nails as a highlight.

The polishes I used were OPI Dim Sum Plum, OPI You Glitter Be Good To Me, Essence Gel-Look Topcoat and Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Speed Dry Drops.

I coated my nails with two coats of Dim Sum Plum and let it dry before painting two coats of You Glitter Be Good To Me to just the tips of my nails. I really like how it turned out and it is such an easy and quick way to jazz up your nails a bit.

What do you guys think? What other colours would work well with a glitter tip?
